The entire course is designed to simulate a working environment as closely as possible.  It is not tied to the classroom and is therefore completely flexible as to starting dates, study times and place of study.  Consequently, the duration of the course may be anything from three to twelve months depending on the time put in by the student.

Elapsed time for the course is approximately 700 hours and the average student putting in six working hours per day usually takes about five months to complete the course.

From all of the above, it will be seen that this course is ideal for those students who prefer to study from     home, in which case, we  supply the student with a COBOL compiler.

Whether the student studies at home or in our premises in Cape Town, when difficulty is experienced, the student contacts the instructor by e-mail, by phone, by post or face to face, whichever method is most convenient.  In this way, students get one-on-one attention and instruction.
